SAMSUNG GALAXY 5 CONTEST

TURNING KOREAN.....what?!

KPOP. Korean Pop, what else? KPOP musics almost swallowed up the OPMs and many people even like them better than the American music videos. Try to look on your television, KPOP musics burst out on any channel. And everytime I pass by a store or in a mall my nose is bleeding from these musics. I always frown and ask myself what the hell do people like from them. Is it the music itself?the artists? the hair and make up? the way they suit those cool shades and weird outfits? the dance steps? Uhmm, ano po ang nangyari sa kabataang Juan dela Cruz? ^_^
Even on facebook I can see how very addictive the youth is to Koreans. WELL IT SOUNDS LIKE I AM IN PROFOUND CONFUSION AND hatred BUT THE TRUTH IS.... I ALSO FEEL LIKE IM TURNING KOREAN @ _ _ _ _ _. =)

Looking on the magazines and on tv the new fashion trend today is baggy tank top paired up with fitted jeans or shorts. And the hair is done by twisting and clipping it as high as it can almost get to the hairline. For the last two weeks I had a long hair but I thought sticking hair strands on the neck while sweating was really annoying. So I went to the salon and paid to cut my hair short. People may think of me as being "gaya-gaya" to KOREAN hairstyles. But that's not it. MAINIT LANG PO TALAGA SA PINAS. hehe

Anyway, you may think of this entry as a nonsense to this promo but I want you to think more about it. ^_^

TURNING KOREAN may be obvious on looks, but you can't say what's going on in other people's mind and heart. There is a Korean store here in my city but I'm not that obsessed with the products there. Instead, whenever I visit that store, I can only think of the Koreans as good and very talented people. I can picture those beautiful faces ng 2NE1, UKiSS, Super Junior, Girls Generation, etc. WALA NG TATALO SA PAGTANGKILIK NG PRODUKTONG PILIPINO, di ba? ^_^

I can see a lot of teenagers in BAGUIO adopt the way Korean people wear their clothes. Well I thought "talagang malaki na ang impluwensiya ng mga KOREAN sa 'tin". Also, there are a lot of elders who are fond of KOREANovelas. I wonder who is the first person that had the idea of introducing the KOREANovelas here in the Philippines. Because every stuff about Koreans the way I know it, started there right? I really thank him.=)

One thing I look on others now is their eyes. Do they have the KOREAN shaped eyes? I love the eyes of the KOREANS especially the girls! No one knows how I love Korean people. How I love the color of their yellowish skin. How I love their passion to learn here in our country. How I like the way they just ignore other people's backstabs (yung ibang pinoy =( ) and how they follow and respect their traditions. Just like the mentioned things about them, I am also the same. It is very questionable and it doesn't look like I'm the type but at heart I truly am. The Korean people and me are the same. They may feel as being a Filipino here in our country, but having their presence here makes me feel like I'm a true being of both races. A Filipino. A Korean. I don't look like I'm turning Korean the way I wear my clothes and do my hair but I am a Korean @ _ _ _ _ _. ^_^

Hey, hey. look at these. Napansin ko lang po ito ng patapos nako. I changed their/ they into my/ I. Hope this will make you smile! =)

Bruises

Brother, why are you like that?

Understanding you is like a problem in math,

Do you hurt us because of your wrath?

Or maybe it is just for fun?

Being the eldest, I know it is hard,

But you are a bully, and bullies are always coward,

Oftentimes, even nights we jarred,

And find myself with my sister at corner, we are jammed.

We don’t know what’s wrong with you,

You hate us and father too,

It’s a routine for your mission to woo,

Why don’t you try and feel on how to walk on our shoes?

Pain is always obvious,

My arms are often with bruises,

If there is a chance that this tie looses,

I’ll hurt you too and make your life a mess!

These red and bluish marks now I have,

Are signs that opposes the meaning of love,

I feel as if I am torn in half,

It is all because of the inner wound I have.

You are supposed to be our protector,

But you aren’t because of your demeanor,

The days pass and you hurt us more,

Will you still change your devilish behavior?

You are old enough to know what is right from wrong,

You are twenty three and yet you act like young,

To love and care for us is what we have longed,

I thought everything got worse since mother had gone.

You have a lot of friends,

And you are the attention to them,

But do they know how you act at home,

Or have a peace of mind for us to lend?

You are strong with those huge hands,

You chase us and we feel like we are denned,

Will this toughness of yours ever end?

Will this ache we have still mend?

I pity you for what you are now,

You’re idle and I look you down,

Somehow I want to help you but I don’t know how,

To be successful is what I wish you had vowed.

I know you have this intense pain inside,

Trust and tell us about it and do not hide,

Despite your mean actions we know you are kind,

We’ll help you to emerge this virtue on your surface,

Because we are your family, your helpers, your guide.

Black and White

Good and evil were born,

White and black were their colors,

The good’s flesh and heart could be torn,

Because of evil’s actions coursed.

Good brought joyfulness and integrity,

That gave satisfaction to all,

But evil came with self –pity,

And wished to have a battle call.

With his plan of destruction,

He entered brains and hearts,

And told them, “Follow me and everything you desire will be shown,

And be given to you like a penny to be laid on your waiting palms”.

Evil made a battalion of followers,

He had the wicked face and was cheering himself,

He showed his troops presents and removed their covers,

They were weapons to be used, a possession of devilish wealth.

Evildoers stabbed their friend’s back,

Thus turning them into demons too,

Together they devoured the souls and were praised for the act,

Their plan, mission and goals were wooed.

The endeavor to turn good to evil was a little success,

But evil’s eyes were still seeking for contentment,

He wanted more battle, blood, death, and wretchedness,

But good shielded his people and wished the badness to end.

Soon the goodness reigned,

Evil was gone and found his place where he should be,

Good went to see him and said,

“Join us, you are our friend, and I assure you happiness and from evilness you’ll flee”.

A Part of a Childhood

Her name was Elizabeth

She was a tiny and silent type of a kid,

With her thoughts strong and vivid,

A shallow happiness was what she could get.

Often bullied in school and made fun of,

She had been a loner and no friends at all,

When her classmates’ eyes roll,

She would bow her head and hear them laughed.

They thought she was weird,

Coming to school sobbing and clinging to her father,

No one liked to sit beside her,

Because they knew she was a bother.

Teasing wasn’t stopped,

Even teachers scolding her made her cry,

Without her papa, she thought she would die,

She’ll blubber and on her mouth her hands were cupped.

She missed school days even if she wasn’t sick,

Making lame excuses which weren’t believed,

Another day of being bullied was what she conceived,

But her parents convinced her that her teachers were meek.

She was just in the first grade,

So teachers would understand,

And they promised to lend her a helping hand,

Thus, happy days and friends were made.

Soon her grimace was gone,

And her gloominess was replaced by joy,

Her crying and silence was no more,

And realized that school was a lot of fun.

A Death of a Captain

Oh sail on sea, life is like a ship,

You aim for a victory,

Contend with strength and find a companion,

A friend for us whom God’s gift.

Before the adventure, you prepared yourself,

All your men were expecting for a marvel,

Then someone shouted, “Captain, are we ready to go?”,

You shouted back, “Yes we are but on our way, know to anticipate your foes”.

The beginning was filled with nothing but joy,

And the festivity lasted for a long time,

You noticed someone at the corner, thought he was a coy,

You approached him and said, “Come my friend, join us and you’ll be fine”.

After long nights and days,

The tough journey on sea begun,

Predicaments were faced on your way,

But with unity of all this would be overcome.

A storm was coming with thunder and lightning,

Wind so strong, you couldn’t stand still,

You caught something and on it you were gripping,

And a captain’s comrade held your hand with his own will.

Traveling the vast sea was living your life in vast obstacles,

You were the captain of your life; you know the directions to take,

And finally you rejoiced for seeing the island’s cape,

A thought of a victory that which you had longed and the outcome of everything you tackled.

As you got close to the island,

You heard echoing voices but not a sound of creepy voices,

You went down the ship first and left your men,

Then you saw a light and those familiar faces.

You frowned in astonishment for what you could see,

Everyone was wearing a huge smile on their faces,

The place seemed covered with white and everything around was bliss,

For what you came here was not the thing you expected.

You showed up to your men and they were in surprise,

Astounded in disbelief, so many questions asked,

You said everything was just a disguise,

And this was the words you said that made them cried:

“Dear men, you are my family and friends,

For the adventures that we had was my life and yours too,

But this victory was not the material victory and,

My endless gratitude is now given to you”.

“I am grateful for being with you my whole life,

Coming here is indeed a success,

A triumph to be with Him in eternity, and my mission as a captain thrived,

I say my farewell now and I wish my ship and now your ship too will not be an empty nest”.
